Preface
God's best!
John R. Cionca
As His creation, we can learn more about ourselves from theology than we can from psychology and sociology combined. This is not to discredit these disciplines, for they provide great insights. And in reality, all truth is God's truth.
But the Owner's manual for humanity, the Bible, records God's perspective on life. It is generously packed with principles and case studies for our well-being. In the words of the source book itself:
So at the beginning of your team meetings, take a few moments to read a portion of Scripture and the coaching thoughts that follow. Read the devotions in the order provided, or select a particular theme from the listing in the Contents. And use the group exercises to get to know one another better and to press further the thematic principle.
Our Lord exampled for us the value of service:
and to give his life a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).
